What is MyDay?
MyDay is a revolutionary new interface developed by Safeguard Global to centralize the many tasks involved in calculating, issuing and reporting on payroll. We intend for MyDay to become the future home for all of your day-to-day payroll questions and activities, from keeping tabs on how far along we are with your payroll, to fetching reports, communicating with our specialists and team members, and more. This begins December 1, 2023, with the release of the MyDay Payroll Dashboard, the first application within the suite.
What is the MyDay Payroll Dashboard?
Our Guardians and payroll specialists at our in-country partners (ICPs) have begun using our new, digitized checklists based on our clients' payroll processing schedules (PPS) to conduct their day-to-day activity. The Payroll Dashboard is a customer-facing portal that visually summarizes those schedules. As specialists complete tasks and reach milestones in processing your payrolls, the status of those payrolls will be mirrored in the Payroll Dashboard, offering you and your team an unprecedented ability to track where you stand.
How It Works
How It Works: Payroll Milestones & Tasks
Whether custom or out-of-the-box, your payroll processing schedule (PPS) is divided into Milestones - important dates when major actions within the PPS should be completed. Each Milestone is further divided into Tasks - discrete steps that have to take place for that Milestone to complete. (As an example, generating end-of-cycle reports might be a Milestone, but each individual report - and the quality control checks we perform as we issue them - would be Tasks.)
How It Works: Filtering For Entities & Countries
Most users of the Payroll Dashboard will find it beneficial - especially for customers with several or even several dozen payrolls - to filter for the countries and entities pertinent to this. MyDay natively supports this throughout the interface. If you're interested in filtering, you can choose from a dropdown list of entities and countries where you have Safeguard Global or our partners processing your pay, or just start typing.
Multiple entries can easily be selected at once, both from the Countries and Legal Entities filters, or you can use the Search feature to filter freely for phrases or letters.
How It Works: Tracking Your Payroll
Based on the PPS for a given payroll, each Milestone will have a target date by which the Milestone should be completed. At first, inactive or uncommenced milestones will be colored gray, with no progress recorded. But as the underlying tasks of that Milestone are completed by our specialists and partners, the progress bar will fill.
Milestones where all tasks were successfully completed before the target date will be 100% full and colored green.
Milestones that are in progress towards their target date but not yet complete will be partially full and colored amethyst. You can examine the icon near a milestone to see what portion of the underlying tasks have been completed so far.
Milestones that are in progress but overdue - past their target date - will be flagged as red, and you can examine their completion status the same way. Milestones that are completed but were finished after their target date are considered "completed late", and flagged yellow.
FAQ
Who will have access to the Payroll Dashboard?
From December 1, 2023 through early 2024, Safeguard Global Payroll360™ customers with onboarded, active payrolls served by our in-country partners (ICPs) will be able to follow those payrolls in the MyDay Payroll Dashboard. Payrolls served by Safeguard Global-owned and -operated Local Markets (LMs) will become available beginning in 2024. We'll communicate with you as those payrolls onboard. Customers with Payroll Express entities will begin to see those in MyDay in 2024.
How do I get to MyDay?
Customers onboarded to our Global Unity platform will, starting December 1, see a new menu on the left hand side: MyDay. Clicking this menu option will launch MyDay in a separate window; in the event your session does not begin with you logged in, your credentials for MyDay will be the same as those for Global Unity. You can also bookmark myday.safeguardglobal.com for direct access.
If I have multiple payrolls within a country, will both display?
Yes. Both primary payrolls and discrete bonus runs, executive payrolls and more will display separately, filed under the legal entity and country they belong to. Each can have a distinct payroll schedule, agreed during implementation.
When filtering for countries or entities, can I select several at once?
Absolutely! Our robust filtering system will allow you and your payroll team to operate however they're most comfortable, filtering for just one country at a time or for all the countries whose payroll they oversee, or just specific legal entities within those countries.
Can I continue to use Global Unity's current interface?
At launch, the MyDay menu will be available for all Global Unity users, but in the near term, you can certainly keep using the current features and interface of Global Unity to perform any tasks you're familiar with. There are no current plans to retire the legacy Global Unity interface.
I have a payroll in a particular country I'm looking for, but it's not showing up.
From December 1 until full release in early 2024, the only payrolls that will be configured to display in MyDay are those serviced by our in-country partners (ICPs). Payrolls in Safeguard Global-owned and -operated Local Markets (LMs) will begin to port to MyDay in 2024. If you have questions about which of your payrolls are currently serviced by an ICP or LM, speak to a Safeguard Global payroll specialist or your Service Delivery Manager.
